Pastor
Kim has been pastor's right hand woman for over 20 years now.
Growing up as a "PK" she saw first hand how her parents enjoyed caring
for and loving their church family. As a young girl she loved tagging
along with her daddy (daddy's lil' girl) every time she had the
opportunity, not realizing that what she witnessed with each visit was
a man with a true "Pastors' Heart". She also had a great role model in
her mother, she loved (still loves) hosting ladies meetings,
fellowships and caring for her church family.
The same is true with Pastor Kim. She knows the value
of loving, caring, challenging, inspiring and encouraging ladies from
all walks of life to be all that God designed them to be. In addition,
she believes that only ladies can be a girlfriend's support to other ladies. She
encourages all ladies, regardless of their marital status, to take time
out of their busy schedules to build these precious relationships with
other ladies. Therefore, the purpose of this ladies' ministry is to
provide a fun atmosphere where relationships can be built and each lady
discovers what it's like to be a "Daddy's Girl" of our heavenly father.
Every month, the ladies set aside the fourth Monday
night of the month to get a powerful, life-changing "connection" with
other girlfriends! The evening begins with soft music in the background
while the ladies enjoy a relaxed delicious meal with an abundance of
time to fellowship and chit-chat. Pastor Kim endeavors to tailor the
evening with a fresh inspirational word in a unique and down-to-earth
fashion that is sure to warm your heart and touch your spirit! You owe
it to yourself to set aside one evening a month to connect with other
"Women of Destiny". We need the strength derived from being with other
girlfriends, and we certainly deserve a Ladies Night Out!
The
girlfriends of "Women of Destiny" also understand the importance of
ministry to, for, and by ladies! We promote opportunities for ladies to
be involved in areas of spiritual enrichment, fellowship, ministry and
outreach. We desire to reach and meet the needs of all ladies -
mothers, working women, singles and retirees - in our church and in our
community. We believe our purpose and destiny are handcrafted by our
Maker, and we want to help each lady achieve her destiny by connecting
her with an area of ministry that needs her God-given talents. Some of
those areas of ministry include: providing meals, making phone calls,
assisting in hospitality events, music, special meetings,
administrative assistance, and much, much more!
Pastor Kim knows what ladies need especially when they are too busy to do it themselves. She will do whatever it takes to help them become the ladies He designed them to be. Even if that means throwing a weekend slumber party! So come on out ladies, and see what this ministry is all about. The Women of Destiny, led by Pastor Kim, wants to help you make the most of this journey called life.
