Tony was raised on a family farm near Willacoochee, Georgia, where he continued to live and work the farm up until 1997. His parents raised him in a Christian home and he accepted Christ at an early age only to backslide and go away from God for a number of years. Kim grew up as a “PK”; her parents have been Pastors in the Assemblies of God for over 30 years. She was born in Georgia, but grew up living in Laurel, Mississippi. During her senior year in High School, her family moved to Georgia to accept the pastorate of a church close to her parent’s home town.
Tony and Kim met in 1986 during their senior year in High School, and the rest is history. Tony graduated from high school and began college in Douglas, Georgia where he later received his Associates degree in Agri-Business. After graduation, Kim enrolled in Cosmetology school and graduated with a license in Master Cosmetology.
In December 1988, Tony and Kim were married and began their life together. Working alongside Kim’s parents, Tony and Kim both served faithfully in the Ministry of Helps. The McKinnon’s were blessed in March of 1991 when Kaitlyn Faith made her grand entrance and again in May of 1994 with Kaira Marianna. In 1996, while attending Winter Bible Seminar, Tony knew that RHEMA Bible Training Center was the future for he and his family. The McKinnon’s loaded a Ryder Truck and headed toward Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in July of 1997. Since graduating in 1999, the McKinnon’s have served in fulltime ministry as Staff Ministers, Associate Pastors, and Pastors. Tony is ordained through RHEMA Ministerial Association International.
The McKinnon’s assumed the pastorate of Family Worship Center in November of 2005.
